last spoiler alert

this is the last, yet unfinished, page that I'm spoiling about the "nirgargus" comic.

page 3 of the "Nirgargus" comic book

as much as I don't need to spoil the comic, here is the 3rd page of it where the main character, dale, is ordering food at his favorite fast food restaurant.

My personal responsibilities

What I would like to achieve in my artwork is to get them published either as a comic or a cartoon for the world to see. reason being is because I like to share my wild imaginations with everyone, especially if it is humorous since I like making people laugh.

the way I would achieve my art is by taking it slow. baby steps. one way of getting my art noticed is by sharing it with people close to me, such as friends and family, and then get them to tell their friends. another way of getting notice is through websites, such as facebook, deviant art and her on the blog. finally, I should try contests by submitting them to see if they'll win or not.

the things that are getting in the way of achievement in art is fear of rejection, doubts and procrastination. let's start with fear of rejection: I've always had this fear. I fear the big "NO" when it comes to requesting permission, being a candidate of something, or submitting something to a contest that may not make it to 1st/2nd/3rd place (especially 1st). the way I need to fix that is to overcome that fear. If I get a no, according to what others tell me, accept it and try again next time and somehow they are right. next up is doubt: when I, for example, do submit artwork into a contest, I keep saying to myself "what if I don't win?" for me, based on my past experience of "many will enter but few will win" contest on food products, I feel like since I couldn't win in the past then I won't win in the future either. that why I don't believe in scratch-off or lottery tickets because I'm not going to win, anyway. to fix that problem, all I have to do is to not worry and not predict the worst because who knows? I will win and saying I won't may jinx it. finally procrastination: this is my least problem out of the 3. my mom has it and I have it but I deny that mine is that bad. when comes to doing thing that I need to do rather than I want to do, I put them off and that leads to certain consequences. to solve that problem, like the nike logo says: "Just do it!" and do it NOW!

one last thing I would like to add about "how to eat an elephant" statement. when it comes to studying, you DO eat one piece at a time as opposed to the whole thing unless you want to forget what you studied.

also, since I'm planning on making a graphic novel for createspace to make into a book, figuratively, I do have to eat an elephant one piece at a time when it comes to drawing panels by doing that once a day as opposed to 3-4 on the same day. I've made that mistake before when I made comic strips for deviantart and it took out so much energy out of me to where I don't want to finish. so my advice to those who want to make comics by independently: draw one panel a day, especially if it's going to be detailed and plan them out before making them, too.

with all of that said, that about covers my personal responsibilities.

Nirgargus: An All Female Planet preview

As you can see, this is a preview of a comic that I'm planning to make where 3 guys crash-land on a planet full of women. It's not complete yet and I'm still in the process of making it. Right now, this is what's done so far.
