Candy girl with a beeper

Since candy girl was only born in 2000, she does not know what a beeper (pager) is since they only existed in the 90s. However, they discontinued after '95 and could be the reason why candy girl is curious about it. This was inspired by this youtube show called "kids react to: old technology" where kids had no idea that certain technology, like the walkman, existed back then. speaking of that show, they also have "teens react to:" and my point is since candy girl is technically a teenager, she should be on there. Anyway, back to the pager, who remember these and who do you know has used one? 

Candygirl's parents on a Rolling Stone Magazine

I originally wanted to do this for this "couple meme" made by BriarWitch but seeing how this reminds me of the Janet Jackson cover of the Rolling Stones magazine (which was where I got the inspiration from), I decided to make their own Rolling Stone magazine. It talks about their sex lives on a certain page and when it comes to candy girl, she would be so embarrassed if it was to be published in her universe to the point where she would rip up every magazine in every store. Fortunately, this magazine does no exist to any of them, I just wanted to see how it would look. what do you think?

Candygirl's Ice Bucket Challenge

Okay, so I decided to hope on the band wagon and participate in the ice bucket challenge phenomenon. Not me, I'm talking about my OC candygirl doing it with the help of meatman and she was chosen to do the challenge live on tv. The reason why she and everybody else is doing the challenge is because they are trying to bring awareness to a disease called A.L.S (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).

The Dimwit Brothers Book Promo

This is a children book that I am promoting that stars 3 brothers Boris, Mortimer, and Henry who all have IQs less than 10. They are like a mixture between "the 3 stooges" and "dumb and dumber". In this book, the brothers go to the beach to have fun when Boris discovers something enchanting that will cause he and Mortimer to fight. Henry, on the other hand, is the stupidest one out of all 3 to understand material things or to speak. So he wanders away to do something else. Polly Saccharide animation

This is an animation I made of a horse named "Polly Saccharide" galloping belonging to my original character, candy girl. I had her named polly saccharide because that's a form of a sugar and I wanted her as well as candy girl to be associated with something relating to sweetness. Polly has gumball balls in her mane and tail just like candy girl has gumball in her hair and you would swear that they look like each other or that's what candy girl would look like as a horse. This took me about 3 hours to make but I'm glad I got it out of the way now. Reference

no more violence against women

This is apart of this contemporary project I was working on. the topic I told was violence against women and the words describes the type of people are in the picture. the blue is the male, the red is the female, and the green is another male stopping the blue male from hitting the red female.

Mario World pipe

here's one last one where the word descibes the object. in this case, it's a pipe with a piranha plant jumpin' out of it and the piranha plant is suppose to be the point of an "I" while the pipe is the "I" itself. The only principle I could think of for this picture is "emphasis" because the first thing anyone would see is the piranha plant jumping out  of the pipe as opposed to the spelling itself. the element for the picture is the movement of the piranha plant because it is obvious that the speed lines are showing that he's popping out of the pipe.

the XYZ Club

I tried to make this into a literature but it came out as a logo for a sophisticated 80s wine club where the "Y" looks like a cocktail glass and the "U" looks like a wine glass. both letters contains red wine in them and as said before, the logo looks like a a sophisticated 80s club.

"poop-boob" and "wow, mom"

another word design practice where I had "poop" become "boob" when reflected and "wow" become "mom" when reflected.

Name Gradation

This is just a practice of letter gradation using my name. nothing special or spectacular.

My Car (drawn and colored)

Out of boredom, I decided to draw my own car using the pen tool the majority of the time in photoshop. It's the same color and everything but the original car color I traced was silver. so I changed the color of it to the real color of my car.

Random anime girl

I traced this in Adobe illustrator and that was my first time ever using that program because I'm only use to using photoshop and flash; the program is very frustrating in my opinion. anyway, the subject I used for the assignment in digital art class was a random anime girl I found in my manga encyclopedia drawing book and I will have to say that it came out better than I expected. Once I get use to Adobe illustrator, I may buy the program to use next semester.

Dr. Jordan is Fresh

This is a pop art I did of the tcc president named Dr. Jordan. I decided to turn his skin blue and give him clothes with funky colors. personally, I can see this on a t-shirt or a comic book maybe. What do you think?

Attack of the dollar bill bugs

this was an assignment for my digital art class where I had to make a surreal picture where I thought about making dollar bill bugs attacking me. at first, I didn't bother adding more to this picture except the dollar bill bugs themselves until my professor told me to add more to it and that was when I added the craters, more dollar bills and the devil's hand holding the $100 bug. as you can see, my hand was intentionally in the picture showing that I was terrified of those things as if I'm saying "nooooooooo! I promised I'll never spend money on porn again! please don't hurt me!" the moral of this picture is: money really is a root to all evil.

this poor individual was infected by the joker's chemical that made her was she is today. find the cure before it's too late.

Big Guy on Campus

I just took a picture of the academic building and decided to use this as the subject of the setting. then I got rid of the tree on the left by clone stamp the building and the grass as well as delete the remains. I changed the sky by quick selecting the original and replacing it with "Clouds" under Filter>Render>Cloud. then I went on google and found a random guy (who looks familiar and have gone to tcc) and put him between the building and sky layer, making him look like a giant. next, I found a group of girls pointing from behind. unfortunately, I had a tedious time clone stamping the watermarks off of the girls since they were originally from a photostock site but I managed to make them look legit. finally, I added value by using the burn/dodge tool and then finishing it off by giving them cast shadow. after all that, this became the "Big Guy on Campus".
the principles used in this picture is proportion because of his size compared to the women pointing at him in amazement.

Irrelevance

This was a cubism assignment I had worked on using photoshop. for the namesake, the things that were going on were irrelevant because none of this stuff made sense at all.

Grey Wasteland

I originally did this before coming to digital art 1 and have done this in layers using photoshop. the sand was going to have it's original color but decided to make it grey to make it more interesting and original.

The Dog Pound Gang

this is a wresling group I came up with called the dog pound gang where everybody is dressed in dog costumes based on different breeds.

From left to right, I'm going to identify each member of the dog pound gang: Dobermen Dora, Rottweiler Rosie, Newfoundland Nate, Pomeranian Paul, Cockerspaniel Connie and up front dressed like a dog catcher is their wrestling manager David the dog catcher. Anytime there is a tag team match, Rottweiler Rosie always team up with Dobermen Dora just like how Newfoundland Nate teams up with Pomeranian Paul. Cockerspaniel Connie never does a tag team match because none of the members of the gang wanted to team with her. Not only that but Cockerspaniel Connie's a jobber, therefore she always lose and never catches a break because she's basically an amateur at wrestling.  About David the dog catcher, he usually acompany each of the members of the dog pound gang as they make their entrance. sometimes, he would be driving an animal control truck down the entrance way containing certain members who are wrestling in the crate part (it's all staged, they don't usually find that concept degrading to themselves). other times, he would walk with them and his catch phrase before fighting is "sic 'em!"
